VA Loan Specialist - Chris Thornton

I was born and raised in Columbia MO, where I attended the University of Missouri and received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Economics. I still reside in Columbia with my fiancé, who I met three years ago. Aside from being an avid Missouri Tiger fan, my other hobbies include golf, snow skiing, and the occasional barbecue.

I graduated from the University in 2004 and began my mortgage career working as a junior underwriter for a local bank. From there I moved to a more national bank where I was a Branch Manager and Business Banking officer. I heard about Veterans United Home Loans from some friends who had come over from other mortgage positions. I began working as a VA mortgage specialist in June of 2007 and have loved it ever since.
