Of course we are not sure which one of these lovely ladies will be crowned Ms. America, but in the end it will be one of these ladies that is wearing a brand new pair of Rocky Combat Boots.

You know as a result of my blogging, co-hosting the You Served Radio show, etc. I have been blessed with many opportunities to travel, meet wonderful Americans (both famous and regular Joes and Janes) and learn a lot about media, etc. I am very grateful of all of that, but I have to say my good buddy Uncle Jimbo over at Blackfive landed a pretty nice gig here. I mean VEGAS!! with all the Ms. America contestants? Jeez man what a nice trip.

He put together a nice video of his trip out to Vegas as a representative of the Warrior Legacy Foundation’s participation in the “When they come back…we give back” awareness campaign. This campaign is a result of past You Served Radio guest Derek Sholl. Derek was a great guest and a guy that has a true passion in making sure our servicemembers coming back from combat and re-integrating into American society get some assistance when they need it.

This video is a tissue grabber, that is for sure. It is from Aaron Cormack from the U.K. It is a beautiful song that they recently put together with pictures to make a great video. Now that we have been made aware of it, we here at You Served will be working to get Aaron on You Served Radio soon.

Last night we had Parks Stephenson from the NOVA special “Killer Subs in Pearl Harbor” on You Served Radio. It is a awesome show and the experts, analysis and investigations they performed to correct one of this most important historical days in our country’s history.

I encourage you take some time and watch it. They leave no doubt that a Japanese mini-sub invaded Pearl Harbor and was successful in attacking battleship row. The real surprise will come at the end when you see how we had this sub in our possession at one time not long after and we didn’t even know it.

Yesterday I put up a posting with the link to a video that I said was the 2nd in a video diary from Bill Whittle from PJTV. I was mistaken, as even though that was from the Gitmo trip that Bill did with Bridge of Sighs, Perk, and Steven Crowder, it was not part of his actual Video Diary. Below is the link to the newly released Part 2 of Bill’s video diary from their November Gitmo trip and this one is by far the best.

It is worth the 13 min to watch it.

This is a great video from Bill Whittle of PJTV. Bill went down with our frequent You Served Radio guests, the band Bridge of Sighs (www.bosband.com).Bill accompanied BOS during their 3rd and most recent trip to Gitmo to play for the troops. Bill is putting together a video diary series of the trip with audio recordings, pictures and video in order to capture all parts of the experience.

Be sure and look for our buddy Tom Neely sporting his You Served Radio and Blog T-shirt in this clip. Just a few weeks ago we talked to Tom live while they were on the trip and he mentioned wearing that shirt and that some servicemember recognized it and said he was a listener to the show.
