Yes, this is in response to Capt Roger Hill's discharge. This man has served his country well, and he does not deserve to be prosecuted in this manner. He did not aim at the detainees, they are all alive and well. Our boys are out there on the front lines and they deserve our support, instead they get every little thing they do scrutinized so that they are afraid to take any type of action. And the enemy knows this. Our boys are trained well and we should have more confidence in their decisions. We ask them to defend our country, give everything of themselves, their families. But in all actuality the people we are fighting have more rights than our boys do, and they know it. War has never been nice and our boys are raised and trained to be civil human beings. However war is not civil and sometimes you do have to apply some fear to save our own. Even in doing this we don't even come close to what the enemy has done to our men, in past wars and in this war. This is ridiculous to go as far as you have NO its unacceptable! He was good enough for us to accept to fight for our country and obviously good enough to make Capt.,for him to take his own initiative to help his brothers and sisters with intel,as he is over there watching what they do to their own people and ours. He deserves to have been supported and if he so chose a discharge it should have been nothing but honorable and he deserves nothing but our gratitude, for the service Capt Roger Hill gave the U.S.A.

I just can't believe what our Soldiers get into trouble over today. I can only imagine what sorts of "interrogations" and other not so pleasant things went on years ago in WW1 &2 and VietNam. This is WAR people, it isn't "pretty" nor is it nice, politically correct or something that embedded reporters etc. need to share with all of us....war is ugly and you can't "play nice"!!
I am a mom to a Soldier who's in Afghanistan now for his second deployment...it makes me so angry to hear what has happened to these poor soldiers for "protecting their men" and doing the right thing. How ridiculous to have to let these Afghan traitors loose so they can go out and share all their knowledge of the base @ Airborne. My son is there now, replacing the last group of 90 soldiers...guess how many of them replaced those few....1200! I hope to God those "spies" do not kill my son or any of his buddies. The Army needs to change it's rules if what they did was considered wrong. Those Afghans were spies and our men did not hurt them...they are still alive, they had no obvious injuries when examined afterwards and look how many of our soldiers have been killed by the Taliban and their bodies torn apart. It is very sad that our "Soldiers" have to be so concerned about "not hurting the enemy and playing nice"....how insane!
They’re Taliban,” one soldier said in response to a prosecutor’s question at the hearing. That soldier is facing charges of repeatedly hitting a detainee who bit him as he tried to put a gag into the man’s mouth. “If it was us, they’d cut our heads off, videotape it and put it on al-Jazeera for our families to see.”
I wonder if the Taliban says "They're American, so if they so much as intimidate us while we're detained they will be chewed up and spit out by their own people."

This reminds me a lot of the Haditha Marines who have been exonerated. That does not undo the years spent with their reputations in the mud and their lives slowly destroyed by the negative press and spotlight.
