Cold Blooded Murderers
Remember this line: “Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood.” That was Congressman Jack Murtha on Wednesday, May 16, 2006. Not only that, but Murtha said that the accounts were true. He followed up his slander with, “”They actually went into the houses and killed women and children.”

Surely you’ve heard that the case against Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani has been dismissed. This brings the number of Marines charged and found guilty in the Haditha case to….ZERO!!
In response to this, Congressman Murtha issued the following apology…
Sorry about that. Apparently, there was no apology for smearing these Marines through the mud before their day in court. I’ll stand by with baited breath while Murtha figures out the right thing to do in this case. I can’t wait until his reelection campaign kicks off. I hope this bites him in the arse.
JD Pendry has a great post up about this very subject that I just can’t do justice here. Check it out.

June 23rd, 2008 at 6:16 pmYet at least 15 civilians, including women and children, were shot dead at close range, with no evidence of return fire. Also, the investigation was not begun for months (only after Time got wind of it), the bodies could not be examined, and no Iraqi witnesses could travel to the US for testimony. The initial military investigation found evidence that “supports accusations that U.S. Marines deliberately shot civilians, including unarmed women and children”. So what’s your story of how women and children end up shot at close range in their own homes? Or when unarmed men are pulled out of a car and shot?

June 23rd, 2008 at 6:32 pmIt is a typical maneuver by radicals and terrorist to kill whoever they please to serve their point…and then blame it on the US (or Nato troops). I guess that would be similar behavior to hiding armorments in a school house or hospital or mosque and then blaming the west as cold blooded ruthless killers. The media loves it…and so do the democrats.
Unbelievable.
Perhaps people shouldn’t allow themselves to be so gullable.

June 23rd, 2008 at 6:45 pmDoug, in light of all that, do you think they could have legally proven them guilty either? You just won’t be happy until you see some Soldiers roasted. I don’t know how they got shot and neither do you. But, now that the Marines have been cleared we know it wasn’t them!

June 23rd, 2008 at 8:14 pmYes, I was thinking about Congressman Murtha too. Where is his apology?! I don’t think the Marines are getting one anytime soon. Can you believe this guy is an ex-marine. Makes one wonder just what kind of marine that he really was.

June 24th, 2008 at 5:21 amApparently, Doug above has not done the research to know that it has been found that the “witness” testimony was bogus. It’s out there if you care to take the time to look.
There are War Heroes and “war heroes” – Kerry and Murtha fall into the latter category. PR is a wonderful thing for sheeples and those who do not do any deeper research than what comes out on the mainstream media news channel and in print.
I am just amazed at how many sheeples will take the word of dubious “witnesses” with agendas over our Marines and not give an inch when certain FACTS that pull the rug out from under the initial investigation come to light.
(yep, still a bit cranky here.)

June 25th, 2008 at 2:12 pmPerhaps yankeemom will point me to this “research” so we can all evaluate it.
From Wiki (which is fully sourced):
On May 9, Sergeant Sanick Dela Cruz, who received immunity in return for testimony, testified that he watched Staff Sergeant Frank Wuterich shoot five Iraqis who were attempting to surrender. Cruz further testified that both he and Wuterich fired into the bodies of the five after they were dead, and that he had urinated on one of the dead Iraqis.
No weapons were found in the white taxi. Capt. Jeffrey Dinsmore, the intelligence officer for the battalion, testified that “it’s fairly well established through the (unmanned aerial vehicle) coverage that there were insurgents in those homes.”
The US military has attempted to subpoena material from a 60 Minutes interview with Staff Sergeant Wuterich, specifically material where Wuterich admits to ordering his men to “shoot first and ask questions later.” The interview includes Wuterich insisting he perceived a threat from house 1 but saw no gun fire from that house and that he saw no insurgent enter that house. He suggests he saw the dead family in house 1 and proceeded to assault house 2 based on a guess that the gunman may have entered that house. The Marines knocked on the door of house 2 and when someone came to answer they fired through the door killing what they saw to be an unarmed man. They then assaulted the house and killed the family inside.

June 25th, 2008 at 2:19 pmSo CJ, given the testimony of the Marines, do you think it unlikely it was them that shot the civilians? Do you understand that just because insufficient evidence exists to charge someone with a crime, that does not mean that they’re innocent? That even if someone is tried and found not guilty, that does not mean the person did not commit the crime, only that a jury did not find a preponderance of evidence (think OJ & Robert Blake)?

BWHAAHAHAHAA. That’s hilarious. Apparently you haven’t been following all the news about test scores being lower in students who used Wiki as a source material for their reports.

June 25th, 2008 at 3:50 pmDoug, I’m saying that if the Marines had been convicted I would have stood up on my pedestal and called for their heads. I would have demanded they be executed and served as an example. But, they were cleared and deserve to be treated as such in the public. Check my other blog and you’ll see numerous examples of me doing just this! It’s time you started supporting the troops where it’s needed and attacking them when it’s warranted.
And I can’t recall the last time that OJ or Robert Blake were ever in combat dealing with the situations they’re dealing with. Are you saying that it’s possible terrorists or insurgents could have possible killed Nicole Brown Simpson, Ronald Goldman, and Robert Blake’s wife? Because it’s highly possible that is what happened in Haditha.
