of course the socialist have used 911 to take controll of our rights.thats why they caused it.do you believe that 911 was the actions of the same baboons that fill vehicles with fuel and other primetive explosives and run them into biuldings? Every demolition expert not working for or paid off by government agrees that the buildings were brought down by professional base explosives,bush even verifide this in a low publicized interview.

9/11 has been a convenient excuse to pass and accept all kinds of police state policies that our big brother had tried to pass in the pre-9/11 environment of the 1990s. One reason the big brother enthusiasts were able to come up with the Patriot Act so quickly after the deed was done is because they had already thought them up in small pieces of legislation that none of our elected representatives would pass because we did not have a big enough crisis to justify their passage and neutralize our Constitutionally protected liberties. Now “any excuse will do” and we are being bullied and pushed around by power hungry bureaucrats and police and we are not any safer than before. But, we getting used to “your papers please” and other commands coming from the top down. Innocence until proven guilty is forgotten as conformity to regulation and command is the norm. And more is on the way. You have only seen the beginning of the stupidity. Just wait until you are driving along the highway and come to a giant 2 hour traffic jam and discover it is only for checking your registration, license or whether you have your seatbelt on. We used to make fun of the Europeans for these kinds of infringements but now they are on their way here. And most Americans don’t recognize them because they are no different than what has been shown and taught to them in their 12 years of government indoctrination (education). Be prepared for more idiocracy to come.

I’m with you on the size of bags. I think a lot of these passengers (like the one who refused to check his bag) should simply be booted off the plane. I don’t need people creating problems when there aren’t any. The guy that wouldn’t leave had a HUGE carry-on that I KNOW was bigger than the test box they have. Yet, he was being a moron. And I honestly wasn’t around for the reason that the flight attendant’s name was desired. I have never lost a checked bag and I ALWAYS check at least one bag.

My main frustration is the name thing. What does it really hurt to give a last name? It makes the airlines look like they’re hiding something. Personally, I’m a US Airways fan. I love the airline and fly it as often as I can. As a Soldier, I’m always on the lookout for people getting stupid on a plane and looking for a reading to clean their clock if they want to get physical or threatening to a flight attendant. Thankfully, it’s never gotten further than a few sour words.

I think passengers should just chill out, but our government needs to stop using 9/11 as a crutch for every idiotic decision they make too!

While I can understand your frustration, these are TSA rules. I am a pilot for US Airways, so I know what I am talking about. If you have a complaint about an employee on a plane, all you need is a first name, Flight number and the date of te flight and they (the company) can track us down. On a typical flight, there are two pilots and three or four flight attendants…… And 150 – 190 passengers!

And now that everybody is charging for one bag to be checked, the carry-on bag situation is going to get worse. But again, it is the TSA and FAA who govern what can be carried on. Two items max, and they both must fit under the seat or in the overhead bins. If they don’t they must be checked, period.

I’m with you CJ – I hear it used for truly idiotic things. As for the luggage = prepare for it to get worse now that the airlines are charging for checked bags. Not to mention that all of that stuff in the overhead causes more injuries than anything when flying.
