Instead of underscoring the importance of a getting a good education while they have the opportunity, he mentions that merely being able to read is fine. His mention of the Army being an option is too rediculous to bear witness. While the ASVAB that I took wasn't too mentally challenging, you don't make it through basic training unless you've got your wits about you and you want it...badly.
