Richard, so far there has been no progress with this program. While it sounds like it could be an excellent resource, the VA Reverse Mortgage is still not an option. Best of luck!

Is there currently a VA reverse mortgage program and if not ,WHY NOT? As a Korean War veteran I feel that politics by the 8 years of the bush disaster ( no capital is deliberate) and it’s denial of VA reverse mortgages is a public disgrace.
What is currently being done to correct this situation?

The proposed VA reverse mortgage is not the same as FHA HECM. It would give the veteran a larger benefit. Another lie by the bush admin.

That is too bad. it would be really great to have that type of benefit directly for vets. Then we could stay in a va home loan incase we wanted to use our va ben. for things like streamline etc
